Detailed Requirements for the Server Machine

The requirements for the server, either real or virtual, depend heavily on the usage, e.g. amount of data, number of simultaneous users, stored images and similar.

Live Instance

The following equipment is recommended for a live instance:

Operating system:	Microsoft Windows 10, 11 or Windows Server 2019, 2022, 2025 (except DC)
Processor:	64-bit Intel Core, Xeon or AMD Ryzen, Epyc, with 2 – 4 cores
Memory:	8 – 16 GiB
Storage (SSD):	C:  50 – 100 GB for Windows independent of the application (including updates, without swap or hibernation)
	D:  50 – 100 GB for application, database and blob files
	E:  50 – 100 GB for log files
Data Backup:	Network drive 100 GB – 1 TB

 

In case of limited resources, the minimum value is sufficient for a start. However, there should be the option for later expansion. Especially for drive D:, because the space required for the blob files is unpredictable.

Testing Instance

The same again on a separate machine, especially if a copy of the real data is to be transferred to the test.

However, drive E: can be omitted and integrated into D:, or even everything into drive C:, as the required reliability is lower.

The data backup can also be omitted.
